- Mobil 1™ continues as Official Partner of Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA for the FIA 2025 World Endurance Championship
- Mobil 1™ will continue to serve as the exclusive lubricant supplier to the team
Mobil 1™, the world’s leading synthetic motor oil brand, and Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA announced today an extension to their technical partnership for 2025.
This continued collaboration follows last year’s success in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) as Hertz Team JOTA became Hypercar World Cup Champions for the second consecutive season.
“Mobil 1™ is thrilled to reaffirm its dedication to the UK-based team and the championship, both of which provide fantastic opportunities to innovate and push its world-leading products to the limit,” said Katy Howell, Manager Sponsorship at ExxonMobil.
WEC provides the ultimate testing ground to advance automotive performance, efficiency, and reliability. The renewed commitment will see Mobil 1™ link up with a long-term customer, General Motors, as Hertz Team JOTA will run two Cadillac V-Series R Hypercars for the coming 2025 season.
Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn, and Sébastien Bourdais will be joining Jenson Button, Will Stevens, and Norman Nato to complete the 2025 driver line-up for the #12 and #38 Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA cars.
“We’re delighted to have Mobil 1 join us for another season”, said Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA founder Sam Hignett. “We had a strong season in 2024 aided by its technical support, but now we’re really looking forward to having the combined forces of Cadillac and Mobil 1 in 2025.”
“I have been fortunate to have had Mobil 1’s backing throughout my career”, said Jenson Button, Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA driver. “Seeing firsthand the lengths that the Mobil 1 team will go in the lab to find small marginal gains for us on the track is incredibly valuable and we’re really happy that Mobil 1 are staying with us for 2025.”
“Our first year with the team was really special as they honoured Mobil 1’s 50th Anniversary with a special livery,” said Howell. “We are already very familiar with Cadillac and the General Motors family, so we can’t wait to go racing again in 2025. The World Endurance Championship typifies that core reason why ExxonMobil goes racing – to put our products to the test under the most rigorous conditions.
