  • ExxonMobil becomes Fuel Partner to Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 team in new sponsorship with the Mobil and Esso brands
  • Visa Cash App Racing Bulls to be supported by ExxonMobil’s Trackside Lab during the 2025 Formula 1 season
  • Mobil 1 brand further expands Formula 1 portfolio, building on championship successes

ExxonMobil has announced a new partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 Team (VCARB), deepening the corporation’s long-term alliance to the Red Bull family and the pinnacle of single-seater racing. The arrangement begins with the upcoming 2025 Formula 1 season.

Having been present in the sport of Formula 1 since the very first race at Silverstone in 1950, 75 years on, ExxonMobil is increasing its involvement in the sport with a brand-new sponsorship.

Since 2017, the Mobil, Esso and Mobil 1 brands have worked side-by-side with VCARB’s sister team, Oracle Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Team, a collaboration that has led to multiple championship successes in recent years. Building on the established relationship, the Mobil and Esso brands now become the Fuel Partner to VCARB and will provide tailor-made fuel and technical services.

ExxonMobil’s state-of-the-art Trackside Laboratory and expert technicians will attend each F1 Grand Prix in 2025 to conduct both fuel and lubricant analysis, helping to ensure compliance with the FIA’s technical regulations and to be able to detect any early indications of potentially critical component degradation.

Throughout the 2025 Formula 1 season, fans will see the Mobil, Esso and Mobil 1 branding on the VCARB 02 challenger, as well as across the driver overalls of Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar, the team kit, and garage set-up.

“Becoming the Fuel Partner to VCARB strengthens our dedication to pushing the limits of performance in motorsport.” said Katy Howell, Global Sponsorship Manager at ExxonMobil. “We have a fantastic established relationship through Oracle Red Bull Racing, and this new partnership only further extends the collaboration we will foster together on the racetrack.”

“We have invested in motorsport from the very beginning, 75 years ago, because Formula 1 provides us with the ultimate platform to push, test, and improve the products that we create for everyday drivers,” said Nick Berthiaux, Regional VP Americas Fuels at ExxonMobil. “We’re excited and proud to see our Mobil and Esso brands on the VCARB02 car in the 2025 season.”

Peter Bayer, CEO, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls said: “The Mobil brand has a history in advancing
motorsports. We already have a strong relationship with ExxonMobil and we are excited to extend
our collaboration to enhance our performance this season. This expansion underscores our shared
dedication to pioneering research and pursuing new technologies and Formula 1 as the pinnacle of
Motorsport and laboratory for innovation. We look forward to achieving new milestones together on
and off the track and welcome the Mobil brand to our family.”

Olly Hughes, CMO, Red Bull Technology said: “Since 2017, ExxonMobil has been an integral part of
Oracle Red Bull Racing’s success, delivering world-class fuel and lubricants that have powered us to
numerous race wins and championships. Their dedication to innovation and performance has been a
key factor in our ability to push the limits on track. Now, as the company extends its partnership to
Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, we’re excited to see its expertise expand across the Red Bull family. This
marks the next step in a collaboration built on excellence, and we look forward to achieving even
greater success together.”

Laurent Mekies, Team Principal, Visa Cash App Racing Bulls said: “It’s fantastic news for the Team to
extend our partnership with ExxonMobil. Formula One is becoming more technological every day
and our competitiveness edge depends on strategic partnerships like this one. We will be using not
only their world-class fuel and lubricants products all over the world, but also benefits from the
incredible support of their laboratories at the racetrack and back at base, to push all the performance
boundaries even further. It is a perfect example of how Formula One research leads the way to
develop new technologies for broader mobility and society.”
