Lewis Hamilton gains his first win of the season in the world's first KERS-hybrid winning Formula 1™ car. Starting from third on the grid, Hamilton uses his KERS to good effect, passing Mark Webber into second.

Though Hamilton is off the pace of leader Fernando Alonso, the Spaniard exits his pitstop with a loose right front wheel. He coasts around the track, before it finally detaches itself on the following lap, allowing Hamilton to take the lead.

The win completes a remarkable turnaround for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in a season dominated by the Brawn Mercedes cars up to this point.
